Wealth From Waste Expo

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) launched Swachh Toycathon under the Swachh Bharath Mission. The competition aims to explore solutions for use of waste in the creation or manufacturing of toys. Students of Vidhyaalayaa made paper bags,paper flower vase,wallhangings from waste paper tabla,mirudhank,veena,spoon ,showpiece made using coconut shell and many items made using plastic waste bottles.72 models were displayed in the expo Children understood the 3R concept REDUCE,REUSE,RECYCLE. Our Dist collector ,Chairman of Thiruvallur municipality and officials from various department graced the occasion.
