NCSC 2022-2023: WHEEL CHAIR INNOVATION FOR THE DISABLED

Our ABS VIDHYAALAYAA MATRIC. HR. SEC. SCHOOL students took part in NCSC 2022-2023. The Focal theme was to “UNDERSTAND ECOSYSTEM FOR HEALTH AND WELL BEING”, the Sub theme was “TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION FOR ECO SYSTEM AND HEALTH” and the TOPIC was “INVENTION FOR DISDABLED PERSON”. The problems identified were that, disabled people require wheelchairs for mobility, they are not able to control themselves manually, caretakers are not always able to actively monitor disabled individuals and disabled people aren’t able to watch their back while being seated on the wheelchair. The need of the hour was that, disabled people need a way to control their wheel chair that meets their specific needs. The solution to the problem was: To find how a cost efficient solar powered wheel chair could be used and to add some additional features to it. To add a back camera that can be focused through their mobile that they are using. Materials needed for the project were solar panel, wheel chair, solar powered battery, camera, mobile, motor and cycle handle bar. We feel extremely honored to share that this innovation by our school students has been selected for State Level Competition.
